About Mr. Greevy

Mr. Chad Greevy earned his teaching certificate in 1997 and in 2000 began teaching 7th and 8th grade Language Arts and Reading Recovery at Curtin Middle School in the Williamsport Area School District.  Mr. Greevy severed in multiple capacities at WASD, including Vice President of the WASD Education Foundation and the Coordinator of Middle School Summer School Program.  In 2009, he assumed the position of Assistant Principal at Donald E. Schick Elementary School (formerly Four Mile Elementary School).  In October 2011, Mr. Greevy began as Assistant Principal of the Loyalsock Township High School.   Additionally, Mr. Greevy serves on mulitple district committees and is Supervisor of Federal Programs, Grants and Subsidies. 

As an educational leader, Mr. Greevy believes that every student can learn and that it is the roles of educators to help students "uncover their passion" to discover what "they are truely good at."   Mr. Greevy believes in "students-first" and believes that with honesty and integrity comes empathy for others.  He is currently working towards his doctorate in education with additional certifications.

 Mr. Greevy received his bachelor’s degree in English/Journalism from Allegheny College in 1995 and his PA Teaching Certification from Lycoming College in 1997.   Mr. Greevy earned his Master’s degree from Wilkes University.  Currently, Mr. Greevy is working on his doctorate from Immaculata University and is an adjunct professor for Wilkes University.  Mr. Greevy is a volunteer AYSO coach and volunteers locally with numerous charities. Mr. Greevy, his wife Alysha Sides and their daughter, Charley Elizabeth love being part of the Lancer Community.

About Dr. Reitz

Dr. Matthew Reitz is in his 25st year in public education, beginning his career as a high school English and drama teacher with the Pocono Mountain School District. He assumed the position of Assistant Principal at Loyalsock Township High School in 1995 and his current position as principal in 2009. Dr. Reitz completed his doctorate in educational leadership from The Pennsylvania State University in 2007. His dissertation was entitled “The Cost of Proficiency: Assessing the Financial Impact of NCLB at the High School Level.” He completed his Master’s degree in school administration from Bucknell University in 1995 and received his bachelor’s degree in English from Lycoming College in 1990. In addition, he is an adjunct graduate level instructor at Wilkes University and Bucknell University. Dr. Reitz was recognized by Penn State’s College of Education as the 2007 recipient of the Donald J. Willower Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award. He is also the 2005 Pennsylvania Assistant Principal of the Year, as recognized by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) and was the Laurel Youth Foster Services School Staff of the Year in 2002. Dr. Reitz and his wife, Karen, are the proud parents of three school-age children.
