Emily Trautwein - December Student of the Month

Emily Trautwein, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Trautwein, has been nominated by the World Language department as the December Student of the Month. Emily is a member of and vice president of the National Honor Society and has been consistently on the high honor roll through high school. Her favorite subject is Spanish. Emily is also very active in a variety of extracurricular functions, including SADD (public relations), Eco-Act (president), Key Club (editor), and Ski Club. Emily plans on attending a four-year university and major in Communications or English. She has lettered in soccer (two years), tennis (two years), and swimming (one year). Emily has also been active in the community as a Sunday school teacher and a volunteer with operation Christmas child. Emily likes to write and spend time snowboarding.
