EcoAct Club Going Green
December 7, 2009
We have a variety of students who are very interested in preserving our natural resources. For some, it is a passion. Each week, members of the school's EcoAct club take turns going around the school and collecting a variety of containers in order to recycle. Headed by their advisor, Mrs. Kindra Brelsford, EcoAct recycles 400 plastic bottles, 150 aluminum cans, 50 glass containers, and empties on a very regular basis various paper bins (including magazines) each month. It is not uncommon to see students doing so during REACH and after school. In fact, two students, seen in these pictures, take paper and magazines to the community recycling centers with their own vehicles. Kudos to each of them, and to the other twenty students and Mrs. Brelsford, for truly making a difference in Loyalsock's attempt at going green!
