LTHS Teacher Carol Johnson Recognized as Outstanding Educator
March 7, 2011
Late last week the annual Education Celebration of the Williamsport-Lycoming County Chamber of Commerce was held at Holiday inn. Loyalsock Township High School’s Carol Johnson, a mathematics teacher, was one of nine local educators recognized as an Outstanding Educator. Miss Johnson has been also recognized several years ago when she became a finalist in the Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year selection process. A calculus and geometry teacher, Carol has taught at Loyalsock for more than twenty years. She continues to serve on Pennsylvania’s mathematics committee that is largely responsible for designing the PSSA math problems seen each year. Further, Miss Johnson is extremely involved in the Williamsport area’s Relay for Life and has captained the Lancers Against Cancer team for the past several years. Congratulations to Miss Carol Johnson and her family on this outstanding recognition!
