Involvement is the "Key" to Success at Loyalsock
March 23, 2012
Current statistics are that over 80% of our Loyalsock students are involved in one or more extra-curricular activities, including athletics, music, drama, art, clubs, and volunteerism, among many more. Tons of evidence suggests that students who are involved in school tend to have better grades and are likely to be viewed as well-rounded as they apply for post-secondary opportunities. Within all of our extra-curricular functions, many students take on leadership roles and responsibilities. One such organization that is very active in the school, community and beyond is Key Club. Students who participate in this club, under the direction of Miss Jennifer Beck, participate annually at the state level. This past week, Loyalsock's Key Club brought home six awards and were recognized state-wide for their service contributions. Specifically, Dan H. and Gina G. ended a very successful year of service in their state roles, as yet another Loyalsock student, junior Jess S., enters this upcoming year as the Lieutenant Governor for Pennsylvania. Congrats to Miss Beck and all of our "Key Clubbers" on another fantastic year and having the chance to lead so many other students across the state!
