Kayla VanFleet - Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Student of the Year
March 26, 2012
Kayla VanFleet, senior, and daughter of Duane and Susan VanFleet, was Loyalsock's representative of the 2012 Williamsport-Lycoming Chamber of Commerce's Outstanding Student of the Year. She was recognized at the annual awards reception and dinner at the Genetti on March 6. Each year, the Chamber recognizes an outstanding student and educator from each Lycoming County school district. Prior to the ceremony, students from each county school are interviewed by a panel from the Chamber, who in turn, then recognize one Lycoming County student among all. While Kayla was not recognized as the grand recipient, she held her own among some stiff competition. Kayla's family, including sister Alisan, was in attendance to support and recognize her. You can read more about her experience that evening here. Congrats to Kayla and her family on this very deserving recognition!
