Key Club Supports UNICEF!

Congratualtions to Key Club and their fundraising efforts for UNICEF. They raised over $827.82! This is more than they have EVER raised for UNICEF. All proceeds will be sent to Uruguary to help children who live on the streets in Montevideo. Uruguary has almost 500,000 adolescents living in poverty because the lack of job opportunities, high drop out and teen pregnancy rate and a failing school system. Only 1/3 of the Uruguayan population ever graduates high school. UNICEF is donating to Operation Uruguay this year to help protect Uruguary children and provide opportunities that never existed before. Operation Uruguay is a foundation located in Montevideo, the capital. Most of the funds will go to city children and adolescents who live in or around the capital.
