Ever see the recent Liberty Mutual commercials? How about opening a door for someone else? Ever hear about someone standing up for someone else when it was the complete, right thing to do? Today, one of Mrs. June's tenth grade English classes performed speeches based on a unit Mrs. June designed on chivalry. The task presented to the class was to compose an essay that demonstrated each student's understanding of chivalry from a historical/literature perceptive and then compare and contrast that with modern examples in which chivalry exists. Members of the class then presented their findings through a speech to the class. What a fun and completely relevant experience for these students to have through the reading of the literature they are studying!
