Lancers Travel to the Holocaust Museum in DC

On Tuesday, November 10th, LTHS student joined Ms. Beck and Mr. Bower for a tour of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) in Washington DC. The Holocaust, one of humankind's most gruesome and disturbing pages of history, involved the deaths of millions and impacted tens of millions. Student explored the context in which the Holocaust took place including, (from the USHMM website) "antisemitism, Jewish life in Europe before the Holocaust, the aftermath of World War I, and the Nazi rise to power."
