Loyalsock Students Stand Together Against Drugs & Alcohol
February 15, 2012
If anyone has driven by the numerous billboards around Williamsport, you will have likely seen several Loyalsock students on the "big screen" standing together as a message to others about the ill effects of drugs and alcohol on our community's youth. A "Hometown Heroes" billboard done in conjunction with Valley Prevention Services and Executive Director, Geoff Arthur, and with students through the newly established Commonwealth Medical College, these students in Loyalsock's SADD organization got a first-hand glimpse of what it takes to seriously impact the perception of today's youth regarding drugs and alcohol. Congratulations and special thanks to our students for taking this message so seriously to protect our community's children, including: Rameez Zaman, Dan Hamm, Morgan Chambers, Abigail Yates, Jimmy Webb, and Kayla VanFleet. Special thanks to Mrs. Diane Stanzione, SADD advisor, for coordinating this special effort!
